The
extreme polarization between political parties is considered to have damaged
the work of the legislature and the achievement of consensus on national
issues, as well as the adoption of international agreements.

The ruling party accuses the opposition of using fictitious causes
throughout the year to harm the majority. But the opposite is said by the
opposition, who considers that Vetëvendosje has not had the political will to
cooperate with the opposition even on matters of national interest. The
opposition criticizes the government for not fulfilling the legislative agenda,
as well as not allowing parliamentary supervision.

The monitor of the work of the Assembly of Kosovo, Violeta Haxholli, told KosovaPress that the legislature during 2023 has approved only 71 laws or only 25 percent of the legislative agenda of 2023.
