For this year, more than 170 thousand kilograms of pyrotechnic tools of\nvarious types have been imported through Kosovo Customs, whereas security\nexperts request that their use be as little as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a statement for KosovaPress, security expert Avni Islami says that\ncitizens’ awareness should be increased as the damage and risk to their health\nfrom the use of pyrotechnic tools is great.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He asks that children do not use pyrotechnics, while adults must also\nbe careful about the place where they use them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also the air specialist at the Hydrometeorological Institute (IHM),\nShkumbin Shala, says that as a result of the explosion of pyrotechnic devices,\nthe pollution exceeds three times the normal air values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He shows that thousands of dust particles containing polluting gases\nsuch as coal, sulfate, nitrates and other elements are released during the\nexplosion of fireworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shala says that December 31 or January 1 record air pollution record\nvalues within the calendar year. He calls for fireworks to be used as little as\npossible, so as not to pollute the air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In an email response, Kosovo Customs announces that during this year, around 171,000 kilograms of pyrotechnics were imported, mainly from China. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
