The political analyst, Artan Muhaxhiri, tells KosovaPress that the Association is expected to be the trigger for new elections in Kosovo next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to him, Prime Minister Albin Kurti is in a very unenviable position for any action he takes for the Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He emphasizes that the only alternative to not establishing the Association is the isolation of Kosovo, therefore, based on the new circumstances, there should be a political re-legitimization in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the other hand, the expert of the political circumstances, Drit\u00ebro Arifi, sees the new elections in Kosovo as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He says for KosovaPress, that Kurti has delegitimized himself with the acceptance of the Association and with its establishment in practice, he should turn to the sovereign for new legitimacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kurti has recently offered the opportunity to write a modern European draft of the Association of Serb-majority municipalities next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Responding to the special envoy of the European Union (EU) for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Laj\u00e7ak, who stated this week that the draft statute of the Association is an internal matter for Kosovo, Kurti said that he can write a draft – statute in cooperation with ministers Nenad Rashiq and Elbert Krasniqi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In October of this year, Kurti accepted the plan from the Euro-Americans for the implementation of the Kosovo-Serbia basic agreement as well as the draft statute of the Association, but requested their signature as a guarantee for implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
