Kurti at the Mathematical Olympiad of Kosovo,\nin which about 500 students who have been selected as the most successful from\nall the municipalities of Kosovo are participating, said that mathematics is\nnot only a subject but is a universal language that transcends borders,\ncultures and identities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that from today’s competition, he is\nconvinced that there will be winners who will represent our country in\ncompetitions with peers from other countries around the world and will bring\nmany medals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to him, in 2023, the Government has\nallocated 1,882 scholarships for girls studying in the field of science,\ntechnology, and mathematics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the president of the Association of\nMathematicians of Kosovo, Valdete Rexh\u00ebbeqaj-Hamiti, said that today the best\nfrom all the municipalities of Kosovo will compete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She added that after a\ncontinuous commitment, Kosovo has won the right to organize the 14th\nMathematical Olympiad for girls “European Girl’s Mathematical\nOlympiad”, which will be held in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rexh\u00ebbeqaj-Hamiti emphasized that winning the\nright to organize this competition for 2025 is an extraordinary achievement for\nKosovo and a clear proof that Kosovo has the professional and organizational\ncapacities to be the leader of the most prestigious international events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the rector at the University of Prishtina,\nQerim Qerimi emphasized that the Mathematical Olympiad of Kosovo is a\nprestigious competition for pre-university students in the country from the\nfield of mathematics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that among\nmore than 100 countries, Kosovo has been participating in this Olympics since\n2011, for which he added that since then the Kosovo team has won two Olympic\nmedals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Those present were also greeted by the Minister\nof Education, Arb\u00ebrie Nagavci, who said that support will continue for students\nwho will represent Kosovo in various international competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Otherwise, for the 16th time in a row, the\nMathematical Olympiad of Kosovo is being held, where for the first time the\nstudents of the 7th and 8th grades are also participating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From the Mathematical Olympiad of Kosovo, which\nis organized by the Association of Mathematicians of Kosovo, with the support\nof the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, a team of 6\nstudents will be selected to represent the state of Kosovo in the 65th International\nMathematical Olympiad – IMO 2024, which will be held in Bath, United Kingdom\nfrom 11. 07. 2024, until 24. 07. 2024, where Kosovo participates for the\nfourteenth time as a member with rights to complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From this Olympiad, the team of four girls is selected to represent the state of Kosovo in the 13th European Mathematics Olympiad for Girls – EGMO 2024, which will be held in the city of Tskaltubo, in Georgia, from 11.04.2024 to 19.04.2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also, from the Mathematical Olympiad of Kosovo, students from grades VII, VIII and IX will be selected to represent the state of Kosovo in the 5th Mathematical Olympiad Kosovo – Albania, which will be held in July in 2024. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
