This was said at the\nconference “Serbian and Russian media propaganda in Kosovo”,\norganized by the Institute for Hybrid Warfare Studies “Octopus”,\nwhile the research on Serbian and Russian media’s portrayal of Kosovo was\npresented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The director of the\n“Octopus” Institute, Agim Musliu, while presenting the analysis\ncarried out, mentioned media such as KosovoOnline, Sputnik and RT, which he\nsaid have the most influence on the breakdown of the Serbian and Albanian\ncommunities or even on the attack on the central institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He emphasized that\nthey have identified two hypotheses which are related to Russian propaganda to\nattack and bring disunity in Europe. Meanwhile, he points out that the other\nhypothesis has proven that “Serbian propaganda always insists on its agenda\nto show that the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo are\ndysfunctional”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the senior\nresearcher at Octopus, Taulant Elshani, said that the electronic medium\n“Kosovo Online” turns out to be a media center of systematic\npropaganda against the Republic of Kosovo, according to him with the aim of\nharming the state interests of Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Elshani emphasized\nthat Kosovo Online posts fake news every day, articles with content that is\nhighly offensive to Albanians and other communities. He added that this medium\ncampaigns against visa liberalism through various methods, while adding that it\ncontains articles about spreading fear, creating a climate of insecurity and\nother issues to the detriment of Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The authors of the\nresearch “Serbian and Russian media propaganda in Kosovo”, mentioned one\nof the fake news that was published in the medium “Kosovo Online”, on\nthe day of the terrorist attack on September 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to them,\nthis day, this medium presents an audio material of the Kosova Police and\nclaims that it says “It does not matter if he dies”, which is\npresented as police negligence towards an injured Serb. They add that this\nSerbian medium has no facts, parts of the audio material or anything else that\nsupports its claim that a wounded Serb is being neglected in that discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the research of\nOctopus Institute, “Serbian and Russian media propaganda in Kosovo”,\nit is stated that Russia uses the media to sponsor its power and footprints in\nthe field of media to achieve its goals related to the glorification, and\ninfluence of destabilizing elements of its politics. \/Z.
