The protest was organized by the Union\nAssociation of Workers of the Administration of the Municipality of Prishtina (SPAK).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Stop expenses in the courts, just execute\nthe decisions”, “Mayor, is anyone listening to you”,\n“Implementation of the decisions of the Independent Oversight Board for\nthe Civil Service of Kosovo”, “The Assembly approves, the mayor executes”,\n“Draft the regulation” were some from the inscriptions on the banners\nof the protesters organized by SPAK addressed to the Municipality of Prishtina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Chairman of the Union Association of\nWorkers of the Administration of the Municipality of Prishtina, Ahmet Gashi,\nsaid that for two years they have been submitting their demands, which are\nrelated to the drafting of the Regulation for the systematization of the\nworkplace. He added that the Municipality of Prishtina lacks a regulation and\ndescription of work duties. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gashi emphasized that their fourth request is\nrelated to the creation of better conditions for the workers of the\nMunicipality than Prishtina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was further said that if there is no\nreflection from mayor P\u00ebrparim Rama, other union measures will continue,\nintensifying the strike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the chairman of the Independent\nUnion of Public Administration, Ali Gashi, said that if the municipal leaders\nhad left only some of their dinners, they would have covered the demands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He called on the protesters to raise their\nvoices and demand their rights because according to him “as for these\nlocal and central governments, they will never think of you and your\nfamilies”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the Finance Officer in the\nDirectorate of Education, Mentor Dragusha, said that they are not asking for\nalms, but for justice. He added that they want support from the mayor of the\nmunicipality, P\u00ebrparim Rama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
