According to the Police, on 29.11.2023, around 20:20,\nthey received information about gunshots on “Dalip Alshiqi” street in\nPrishtina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Police and emergency doctors immediately\nwent to the scene, where they found a person in a car without signs of life.\nThe death of the victim (female) was confirmed by the medical team at the\nscene. Based on the first information, it is suspected to be a murder by\nfirearm. The police, in coordination with the prosecutor’s office, have started\nan investigation and the undertaking of all investigative and examination\nactions, which would help the investigation of the event and the complete\nclarification of the case. After the examination of the scene, intensive\ninvestigative actions were taken which resulted in the arrest of two suspects\nrelated to the case mentioned above. The unit of general investigations of\nPrishtina in coordination with the Prosecutor’s Office is continuing the raid\noperation in two locations in Gjakova”, reads the announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Prishtina\nannounced that in coordination with the Kosova Police, following intensive\ninvestigative actions, regarding the case, which was initially assessed as\n“robbery with consequences of murder”, where a woman was killed, has\nresulted in the arrest of two suspects involved in this case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“According to the order of the State\nProsecutor and with the approval of the judge of the preliminary procedure, the\nGeneral Investigations Unit of Prishtina, within the Kosova Police, conducted\nraids in two locations in Gjakova, in which case the persons were arrested from\nthis action G. P. (killer) and N.M. (victim’s husband), suspected for the\nvictim’s murder, and the weapon suspected to have been used in this case was\nseized. Currently, the suspects are being interviewed at the police station,\nuntil the prosecution will take further legal actions against them. The\nprosecutor’s office, in coordination with the police, is continuing with the\nundertaking of investigative actions related to this case”, reads the\ncommuniqu\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After that, the third\nsuspect was also arrested, Kushtrim Kokalla who is also a member of the KSF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Ministry of Defense has emphasized through\na communique that the justice bodies are investigating the case, but this case\nwill also be handled within the responsible bodies of the KSF, according to the\nregulations and laws in force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The Ministry of Defense and the Kosovo\nSecurity Force expresses sincere condolences to the victim’s family. The\nsecurity and protection of our citizens is an obligation”, reads the\ncommuniqu\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the arrest of\nNaim Murseli, Liridona’s husband, his father announced that the condolence\nvisits have been cancelled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Dear friends, for family reasons, we\nregretfully cancel the condolences visits. We thank everyone for participating\nin the funeral”, wrote Shaban Murseli on his Facebook account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And while it was reported that Naim Murseli, before the investigators, admitted that he ordered the murder of his wife to the suspect G.P., to whom he had given 15 thousand euros before the murder and another 15 thousand he would give him after the execution. The suspect G.P. has admitted to the prosecutor that it is Murseli who paid him to commit the murder, the victim’s family members were reported to have requested the exhumation of Liridona Murseli from the village of Naim Murseli and the burial in her birth village. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
