After the dissolution\nof the Provisional Government in January 2000, and the establishment of the\nProvisional Administrative Council, all institutions established by the Kosovo\nLiberation Army, namely the political directorate of the KLA and the\nProvisional Government, were dissolved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In September 2000,\nKosovaPress began its journey as an independent news agency. The beginning was\ndifficult, there was a struggle for survival, but later, thanks to\nperseverance, the development period began and, year after year, the expansion\nof services began. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2002, KosovaPress\nlaunched the prepaid system, initially in Albanian, and from 2005 it resumed\npublishing news in English, whereas in 2007 in Serbian and Turkish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the tenth\nanniversary of its establishment (2009), KosovaPress brought innovations in the\ncountry\u2019s media market: video-news and audio-news, whereas on the 15th\nanniversary of its establishment it opened an office in Tirana. The 16th\nanniversary brought another innovation, that of the photo sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the 17th\nanniversary of its work, KosovaPress presented its latest innovation, which was\nthe live broadcast of events. The live broadcasts were realized with the latest\ntechnology, with 4K cameras. Continuous investment in technology today allows\nKosovaPress to make up to 10 \u201clive\u201d broadcasts at the same time, as well as\ndirected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When KosovaPress\ncelebrated two decades of work, the Production Department was introduced, which\ndeals with the realization of educational-entertaining shows, such as the\nchildren\u2019s show \u201cFoleja\u201d and the show \u201cCult\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2017, KosovaPress\nbecame a full member of the network of News Agencies of the Balkan and\nSoutheast European Countries (ABNA-SE). KosovaPress, since its membership, has\nmade a valuable contribution to the promotion of national values in the news\nnetwork that are edited on ABNA platforms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2019, KosovaPress participated for the first\ntime, representing Kosovo, in the world congress of news agencies that takes\nplace every three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In September 2021, KosovaPress successfully organized the General Assembly of ABNA-SE, bringing the Balkan and Southeast European news agencies to Prishtina, where for almost a week their role in the post-COVID period was discussed, where it was entrusted with the role of one-year presidency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
