The six Kosovo consular missions in Germany, namely in Berlin, D\u00fcsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart, have started the verification of driver’s licenses for Kosovo citizens, namely the issuance of certificates through which the driver’s license is certified in regular procedure in Kosovo<\/strong><\/p>\n

Distinguished citizens of the Republic of Kosovo in Germany,<\/p>\n

After the entry into force of the agreement for the recognition of driver’s license of the Republic of Kosovo in Germany and its signing, on April 6, 2022 by the Minister of Interior of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Xhelal Sve\u00e7la and the Secretary of State in the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digitalization of Germany, Mr. Oliver Luksic, has already started the process of converting driver’s licenses in all German states.<\/p>\n

Therefore, in order to speed up the process of driver’s license verification, we would like to inform you that the six consular missions of the Republic of Kosovo in Germany (respectively in Berlin, D\u00fcsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart) , have started the verification of driver’s license for the citizens of Kosovo, specifically the issuance of certificates through which it is certified to obtain a driver’s license in a regular procedure in Kosovo.<\/p>\n

NOTE: If citizens apply for the conversion of a driver’s license to the competent German institutions (F\u00fchrerscheinstelle), then this verification is done through official communication (by e-mail) between the two competent institutions (F\u00fchrerscheinstelle and the consular mission). This service is performed free of charge by consular missions.<\/p>\n

Whereas, the citizens who want to be provided with a certificate in advance, then the consular missions of the Republic of Kosovo will issue such a certificate, which proves obtaining a driver’s license in a regular procedure in Kosovo. For this service you must make an appointment in advance at the consular missions. Issuance of this certificate will cost \u20ac 20.<\/p>\n
