The Basic Court in Pristina, also in the retrial for the murder of the 18-year-old in Podujeva, sentenced the first minor to 10 years of imprisonment, and the second minor to 9 years of imprisonment.
This is what the lawyer of the injured parties, Tomë Gashi, said, who said that the Court today imposed the same punishment for the minors as in May.
Tome Gashi said that the Court found the two minors guilty of the crime of “serious murder”.
Also, regarding one of the minors who was sentenced for 9 years as responsible, Gashi added that they will file a complaint.
Whereas, regarding the punishment provided by law for minors, which is up to 10 years, lawyer Tomë Gashi has stated that in the future this law should be changed and harsher punishments should be imposed for those who commit criminal offenses of this type.
Regarding the return of the retrial, Gashi emphasized that this is the “a,b,c” of justice, and according to him, it seems that the Court did not know that it cannot be at the same time as a judge in the preliminary procedure and the president of the trial body.
