The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli says that public enterprises in Kosovo still have difficulties, but the trend is positive. She mentions KEK and Telekom as companies that have become profitable, compared to losses in the past, and that according to her, this is not the result of government subsidies.
Rizvanolli in an interview for KosovaPress says that it is the last moment to have an internal revival of Trepça, as there can be no continuous support from taxpayers’ money and no progress in internal management and increased production.
Minister Rizvanolli mentions the Telekom of Kosova as a success of government policies in relation to the public enterprise. She says that Telekom is investing in the network and the quality of services will improve by the end of the year.
As for Trepça, she says that they expect changes from the newly appointed management board.
Regarding the punitive measures of the European Union against Kosovo, Rizvanolli declares that there were no projects that were interrupted or lost, but some that were planned for the next years have been suspended.
