Kosovo still has a disordered pharmaceutical market, prompt adoption of the law is required

Kosovo continues to have a disordered pharmaceutical market. The same medicines are bought at different prices in different pharmacies, often forcing citizens to run after the price and risking to buy unsafe medicines. The lack of legal infrastructure has led to a lack of unification of medicines prices.

Pharmacists are asking for a law that would regulate the issue of prices, as the attempts so far, through various administrative instructions have not had effect due to the change of governments. The Patients’ Rights Association says that the lack of unification of medicine prices is an abuse for patients.
