Republican candidate Donald Trump has won the presidential election in America according to CNN's projection.

Although, throughout the election campaign, there was talk of a close race between Trump and the Democratic opponent, Kamala Harris, the Republican, Trump achieved victory and return to the White House.

According to CNN, Trump secured 276 votes, out of the 270 Electoral College votes needed to be declared president.

During an appearance before supporters in Florida, Donald Trump said he will help the state "heal".

In the November 5 race were Democrat Kamala Harris, currently the vice president of the United States, and Republican Donald Trump, who was president from 2017 to 2021.
