The Kosovo Privatization Agency (AKP) today announced the temporary winners for the sale of 31 assets of social enterprises number 64 through the liquidation method, for which 59 offers were accepted with a total value of 2 million 212 thousand 467 euros.

Muharrem Arifi, acting deputy executive director - operations at the Kosovo Privatization Agency, announced that 2.913 assets have been privatized so far, while a total of 784 euros have been collected in the Trust Funds.

"The amount of funds approved by the Board of the Agency for distribution to legal creditors until October 31, 2023, is 62 million 684 thousand 180 euros for 303 social enterprises. Payments to creditors of social enterprises until October 6, 2023 have been made in the amount of 61 million 389 thousand 539 euros," said Arifi.

Regarding the distribution of the 20 percent, Arifi said that the KPA is continuing with the approval of the lists and the distribution of the amount of 20% of the income from the sale of assets to the workers of social enterprises.

He announced that 163 million 379 thousand 229 euros have been distributed so far, while the total number of 20% beneficiaries is 52.100 former workers.

Otherwise, the Kosovo Privatization Agency was established by the Assembly of Kosovo and has the mandate and authority to sell or transfer social enterprises and their assets to private investors through a transparent process.
