The Premier League has decided not to introduce the semi-automatic VAR technology that was successfully used at the World Cup in Qatar, but will put more cameras on the pitch.

"Mail Sport" announced in April that the Premier League was considering incorporating SOAT technology, which includes artificial intelligence that will monitor players' limbs if they have been in an offside position, KosovaPress reports.

A signal then goes to the VAR, with the technology capable of determining whether the player was offside within a second.

SOAT was also successfully used during Wednesday night's Conference League final between Fiorentina and West Ham.

But the Premier League will not be in the running to use the technology, despite its approval by Spain's LaLiga ahead of next season.
