The Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla, has spoken about the meeting that the heads of state are expected to hold with the American Secretary of State, Antony Bliken. She said that the meeting is in natural circumstances between two friendly countries and a further step in strengthening relations with the United States of America.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora said that the meeting was planned long ago.
The Presidency informed that Osmani and Kurti will be received by the American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, on Tuesday afternoon.
“Today, the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu and Prime Minister Albin Kurti will be received in a meeting by the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken. The focus of the discussions will be the deepening of the Kosovo-USA bilateral partnership at a strategic level, the joint engagement in addressing challenges to peace and security in the region and Europe, as well as support for Kosovo in strategic sectors. The meeting with Secretary of State Blinken will be held in a defining period for security and peace in our region, as well as for the European continent and beyond, as a result of Russia’s war in Ukraine”, the announcement of the presidency states.
