The Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers has launched the electronic platform "E-Kosova" through which workers and employers can be trained in the field of safety and health at work.

According to the announcement, until now, many employers have encountered difficulties by paying high costs for drafting workplace risk assessment documents.

"While, from now on, through these trainings, employers will learn to identify, assess risks in low-risk companies, as well as draw up the risk assessment document. In addition, they will be trained to respond to emergency situations such as fire, work at height, and other hazards that may threaten the safety of workers," the communiqué states.

On the other hand, according to the MFTP, workers will be trained how to react in different risk situations to protect their health and safety and that of other people around them.

"These trainings have been made possible with technical support from the International Labor Organization in cooperation with the Central Labor Inspectorate and are currently in the pilot phase," the communiqué states.

At the end it is also said that employers and workers in low-risk companies can be trained through the following steps in five separate modules.

"After the successful completion of the training, the trainees are provided with a certificate which can be kept in the employer's file", the announcement states.
