The Prime Minister's Office has announced the content of the conversation between the Prime Minister of the country, Albin Kurti and the Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs of the US State Department, James O'Brien, who met on Monday afternoon at the facility of the Government of Kosovo .

In the meeting that lasted almost three hours, the communique states that in this meeting the relations between Kosovo and the USA were discussed in the areas in which cooperation can be deepened.

"This meeting took place a little less than a month after the last meeting they had in New York within the High Level Week of the United Nations General Assembly. During the conversation, the Prime Minister discussed the bilateral relations and the areas in which the close relations between our two countries can be further deepened. Prime Minister Kurti expressed his and the Government's gratitude for the historical role and continuous support of the United States of America to the Republic of Kosovo and its people, and for the close cooperation in the fields of energy, economy, finance and security and defense. the notice says.

It is further stated that a week after the Berlin Process Summit, the commitment, the signed agreement and the approved declarations that made the 10th anniversary of the Berlin Process a successful anniversary in the advancement and promotion of regional cooperation towards European integration were appreciated .

According to the announcement, relations with Serbia, the dialogue process facilitated by the European Union and the implementation of the Basic Agreement and its Annex were discussed in this meeting.

"The signing of the Basic Agreement is the necessary proof of good will and good faith on the part of Serbia for the quick fulfillment and full respect of it and the Implementation Annex. "Also, for legality and justice, peace and security, the handover of the chief terrorist Milan Radoicic and his paramilitary group is needed," the communiqué states.

Prime Minister Kurti was accompanied at the meeting by the first deputy prime minister, Besnik Bislimi. Meanwhile, alongside Assistant Secretary O'Brien was the ambassador of the United States of America, Jeffrey Hovenier.
