The terrorist attack on Kosovo's critical infrastructure is similar to those that occur in countries where war is taking place, says security expert Nuredin Ibishi.

The water channel of Ibër-Lepenci in the village of Varage, municipality of Zubin Potok, was damaged on the evening of November 29 after a large explosion. It is about 15 kilograms of explosives.

Kosovo authorities said that the attack in the northern part of Kosovo is criminal and comes from gangs orchestrated from Belgrade.

"It is something that only happens in countries where war takes place, in the sense of what war is, the Russian aggression in Ukraine, destroying the critical infrastructure, which is vital for the lives of citizens, from drinking water and electricity supply and from heating ", says Ibishi.

From Ibër-Lepenc, water is supplied from Lake Ujman to several cities in Kosovo, as well as the Energy Corporation of Kosovo.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that the attack was aimed at damaging the infrastructure "perhaps the most important one we have".

Another terrorist attack happened in September last year in Banjska i Zveçani.

There, Serbian terrorists attacked the Kosovo Police and Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed.

Security expert Nuredin Ibishi says that it was expected that these groups would change their tactics and methodology of action from last year's attacks.

After the November 29 attack, Kosovo authorities conducted several operations where they found an arsenal of weapons, uniforms and military equipment.

According to Ibish, supplies of these were made earlier.

"They have been worked on earlier, and wherever the northern part is looking for they have supplied them in time, and it is already expected to be found in every raid almost in the north. They have supplied them with uniforms, military equipment, weaponry, ammunition", he emphasized.

After the attack in Ibër-Lepenc, the Kosovo Police arrested ten suspects.
