The Wadi Dayqah dam in Quriyat city of Oman overflowed due to heavy rainfall that has been effective in the country since Sunday. Heavy rains and floods have killed at least 21 people in Oman, local authorities said on Thursday. The Bay Area has been ravaged by relentless rain this week that has brought life to a standstill. According to the state news agency ONA, efforts are being made to find two missing persons after heavy rains.

On Wednesday, Oman's National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) said around 1.630 people had been rescued and another 630 evacuated over the past three days. The Ministry of Agriculture said that the amount of water held in the country's dams reached 30.955 million cubic meters from rainfall. /AA
