It was a game to forget for Xherdan Shaqiri in Chicago Fire's game against Columbus.
The team lost 3-0 and Shaqiri was sent off after 67 minutes of play. But not because of a substitution, but because of two yellow cards after two wrong interventions, reports KosovaPress.
For Shaqiri, it was only the second penalty in his career with a red card. He received his first one twelve years ago, when he was a Basel player against Spartak Moscow in the Europa League.
Despite the loss, Chicago still hasn't lost its playoff hopes despite a five-game scoreless streak. The difference with the last place in the playoffs is three points. There are five games left to play.
