The problems of businesses with enforcement procedures, the low number of judges as well as delays in handling cases in the Commercial Court were some of the issues discussed in the meeting held between the representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kosovo with the Deputy Minister of Justice, Blerim Sallahu.

Zana Beqiri, Director of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, thanked Deputy Minister Sallahu for the meeting and emphasized that one of the complaints is about the non-functioning of the bailiffs as a result of the possibility of a complaint to the Court by businesses, even though it exists as evidence the contract and regular invoice signed by them.

While according to Mazllum Baraliu, Consultant at the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, added value for DHTIK is the community of businesses that it represents.

"Therefore, it is more necessary to be included in the working groups for the Implementation Bill, so that the comments of local businesses are taken into consideration and included in the final draft. He further added that the Chamber of Commerce, at the stage of drafting the Law on the Commercial Court, has recommended that a greater number of judges should be provided, whose absence today is affecting the cases of this Court to have a low dynamics of handling" , says a communique.

The Deputy Minister of Justice, Blerim Sallahu, emphasized that cooperation with the business community is necessary, because only in this way, according to him, will it be ensured that the final drafts of the laws are all inclusive.

According to Deputy Minister Sallahu, the Ministry of Justice is dealing with these issues, with special emphasis on the problem of bailiffs, while for the numerous and unhandled cases in the Commercial Court, he added that the Law on the Administrative Court is currently being finalized, which will directly to influence the reduction of Commercial Court cases.
