The autumn session of the Assembly - the opposition divided over the voting of international agreements

The Assembly of Kosovo will hold the first plenary session for the fall session on Thursday, September 14. In addition to the regular plenary session, the people's elected representatives will also hold a parliamentary debate on the issue of providing school textbooks by the government, a session that failed to take place last week.

After the meeting of the Presidency of the Assembly on Monday, the majority said that they expect a full autumn session of the legislature, while the opposition criticized the government for having polarized parliamentary life in the Assembly. PDK even said that they will not vote on any draft law and international agreement. The vote for an international agreement was also questioned by the LDK, who said that it will depend on the behavior of the government as to how they will orient decision-making.

The head of the Parliamentary Group of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, said that in Thursday's session they withdrew several draft laws from the agenda, including the Draft Law on public officials for which there is already a decision from the Constitutional Court, as well as the Draft Law on the Prosecutorial Council , which has been sent for evaluation to the Venice Commission.

The head of the Parliamentary Group of the PDK, Abelard Tahiri, was critical of the majority, who said that they will not have any support in the Assembly.

He added that they will vote in the Assembly only for the dissolution of the legislature or the overthrow of the executive.

Meanwhile, the deputy of LDK, Armend Zemaj said that the position is not in a good mood to hold plenary sessions.

He mentioned the need for the formation of a parliamentary investigative commission on the issue of state reserves, while he said that the vote of any international agreement will depend on the behavior of the government.

On the other hand, the head of the AAK Parliamentary Group, Besnik Tahiri, said that the majority has failed in the Assembly throughout the year.

He said that during the autumn session they will initiate a legislative initiative to increase the coefficient of the Law on wages.

The autumn session of the Assembly started today, after the summer vacation of the deputies since July 28./KosovaPress/
