The protest in front of the Ministry of Education has ended. Students and pupils are still gathered and chanting that they will not allow blackmail directed at their teachers and lecturers. Sandra Radovanović, a teacher at the "Ivo Andrić" primary school, and Iva Draškić Vičanović, dean of the Faculty of Philology, spoke at the rally. Earlier, tributes were paid to the victims of the tragedy in Novi Sad and to those killed in the nursing home in Barajevo. Before this protest, students and citizens joined the protest of GSP workers, who gathered at the depot in Dorčol and then reached the City Assembly, where they presented their demands. Among the demands is the suspension of the process of abolishing trolleybuses and a guarantee that the Dorčol depot will not be handed over to private companies.

Message from the rally in front of the Ministry of Education: Students and deans will stand in solidarity with primary and secondary school teachers

The main message sent by the rally is that students and deans will stand in solidarity with elementary and secondary school teachers, who are being pressured to withdraw and not support the protests.

At today's rally, the deans of the eight faculties where pedagogues and professors are educated, as well as high school and gymnasium students, stood next to them, who were told that they are not alone and that they will do everything to prevent further pressure, reports the N1 reporter.

At the meeting, it was said that education inspectors should protect teachers and are the ones who are putting pressure on them.

The plan is for primary school teachers to return tomorrow and submit their demands to the Ministry of Education.

A message of solidarity was sent to all those who are exerting pressure, while teachers at the rally expressed surprise at the support of high school students, many of whom were at the rally.

Nemanjina Street, where the Ministry is located, was closed to traffic and filled with protest participants.
