Pristina Mayor Përparim Rama said on Wednesday that the capital has determined the location for the monument to the legendary commander, Adem Jashari. The municipality, through a photograph, has shown that the statue will be placed on “Agim Ramadani” street, in an area that will be transformed into a square and will be named “Adem Jashari”.
Rama wrote in Facebook that the Jashari family has given consent for the location.
"This monument will stand as eternal testimony to his glory and heroism," Rama wrote, reports KosovaPress.
The Municipality of Pristina on Wednesday, through a solemn session, remembered and honored the sacrifice of the Jashari family.
There, Rama expressed gratitude to the Jashari family as a symbol of sacrifice, reports KosovaPress."The gratitude presented to the Jashari family is not simply a symbol, but a pledge of the Capital that their sacrifice will forever remain in the foundation of our state, in the national conscience and, above all, in our hearts," said Rama.
