The administrator of the American Agency for International Development (USAID), Samantha Power, has stated that the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue must end with mutual recognition. However, she emphasized that the establishment of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority in Kosovo is an emergency.

Power, who is on an official visit to Kosovo, underlined the importance of the dialogue parties to exchange ideas on the Association in order to reach a compromise.

"We hope that now that the dialogue has finally taken place about what that might look like, even if the parties have not yet agreed on a vision, what the modalities will be, and this is the first time that this kind of engagement has happened substantive. It is important that ideas are exchanged and compromise is reached so that normalization can proceed that will ultimately result in mutual recognition," she said.

In addition, the head of USAID said that the signing of the Declaration for the missing on May 2 in Brussels is very important and that it should be implemented concretely.

Power made these comments on Thursday in Gjilan, after visiting the "Frutomania" company, where he also met small farmers in this area.

She said that USAID's mission is to help entrepreneurs and the people of Kosovo to expand their economic opportunities.

During the day, Power will also meet young entrepreneurs at the Innovation Center of Kosovo (ICK). And tomorrow he will be expected in a meeting by Prime Minister Albin Kurti./KosovaPress/
