Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes Arsenal will never win the Premier League with Aaron Ramsdale in goal, backing Brentford loanee David Raya.
Raya moved to Arsenal after the start of the Premier League season, and he has played in the last two matches (1:0 win against Everton and 4:0 win over PSV last night in the Champions League), KosovaPress reports.
This has sparked debate over who will be Arsenal's number one goalkeeper, with Ryan and Ramsdale going head-to-head for the position.
During last night's show before Arsenal's Champions League clash with PSV, legendary goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel asked Carragher if he believes Raya is better than Ramsdale.
The former Liverpool defender replied: “100%. Arsenal will never win the Premier League with Ramsdale in goal, no chance. "Ramsdale is playing for Arsenal and he can't even play for England," said Carragher.
While Raya is currently on loan, the Gunners can make his transfer permanent for only 35 million euros at the end of the season.
