A protest organized by the United Union of Education, Science and Culture will be held on Wednesday in Pristina. Unionists are demanding salary increases and the signing of a collective agreement.

The president of SBASHK, Rrahman Jasharaj, said that the protest will be held at 12:30 and through it they also demand a discussion with the Minister of Education, Arbërie Nagavci.

The protest will start in the courtyard of the National Library, from where it will march towards the Ministry of Education.

According to Jasharaj, if the protesters do not receive an answer from Nagavci, they will continue the march to the Kosovo Government building.

They do not rule out the possibility of a strike if their demands are not met.

"SBASHK wishes and prays that the Government reflects and never repeats September 2024 with the general strike", he declared.

The general secretary, Ymer Ymeri, said that they will ask Nagavci to talk to the protesters.

"We are waiting for the minister to accept a delegation of 4-5 people to sit in the office and talk, if this does not happen by 13:30 p.m. then we will continue marching towards the Government and Assembly building, there we will address you with requests to them too", Ymeri said.
