Faton Peci from Lista Guxo says that he does not comment on the reports that talk about the departure of MP Doarsa Kica-Xhelili from this party. According to him, if the deputy has something to say, it is up to her to declare it, while adding that they do not have any clarification from her side regarding this matter.
"We are waiting for the positions of the member of parliament in question, as long as we do not have a clarification, we continue to think that they are part of the discussions or writings at the journalistic level", he says to KosovaPress.
He says that Lista Guxo is on the right path towards the realization of all the commitments it made in the last national elections.
"Anyone who can express any dissatisfaction, I am very curious to understand or to know what that dissatisfaction is, especially based on the fact that we, all the public commitments and promises we gave in the last national elections, I believe we are on a very good path in the implementation, so I do not comment on the part of the journalistic articles, in case the deputy in question has something to say, it is up to her to declare", he said.
He adds that Guxo List currently has a working atmosphere and organization for the Central Assembly that is expected to be held next week.
Faton Peci, who heads the Ministry of Agriculture, also talks about the support that this ministry gives to municipalities through grants and subsidies.
He denies that the Government is offering greater support to the municipalities that are led by the ruling party.
"Absolutely (the support) is the same for all municipalities, I can share with you an example, within the framework of capital investments for the category of investments in the irrigation sector, we have signed memorandums with eight municipalities, of which two municipalities are offered support are from Vetëvendosje, two are from LDK, two from PDK and two from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo. The support has been in terms of representing the regions of Kosovo, but also in terms of political representation, so we don't even know political parties at the level of communication with farmers, with municipalities in the process of making investments", says the Minister of Agriculture.
He says that he has found the Ministry of Agriculture in an unenviable situation, while adding that since the beginning of work, this ministry has worked more than all the previous mandates.
"Unfortunately, the situation in which I took over the Ministry of Agriculture was in a very unenviable situation, in just one category the debts to farmers were 40 million euros, so we have completely changed this part of the way of management and access to the Ministry of Agriculture, for 1 and a half years of the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture by me, in this case by the Kurti 2 Government, if we take as a basis the drafting policies, strategic documents, the advancement of legislation and financial support, they are more than all the other mandates in advance", he says.
According to him, currently the Kosovo farmer is the most supported in the region.
He mentions the current unfavorable situation due to the increase in the price of agricultural inputs, but according to him, the government is doing its best to increase support for farmers.
"Our support in the category of subsidies goes up to 216%, it is an enormous increase and multiplication in all categories of support for farmers, it is the biggest support in the region, it is the biggest support ever realized in the agriculture sector. Now we cannot, as institutions or as a small country, influence the level of oil prices or the trend of agricultural products or inputs that have mainly come as a result of the energy crisis, the effect of the pandemic and the war in Ukraine", says the Minister of Agriculture .
