The insistence of the Government of Kosovo that the self-management of the Serbian community be done according to the Croatian model according to the Democratic Party of Kosovo is an issue that requires discussion, especially after the declarations of the European side that they see the draft statute presented by the former Management Team as the basis for the creation of Association.

Deputy Blerta Deliu-Kodra during an interview for KosovaPress declares that the issue of the Association according to the Croatian model should be discussed because, as she says, they have just been opened. She says that she does not know how the format of the discussions will be summarized for this model or for other proposals.

"This remains to be discussed, because they are only discussions, which have just been opened, I do not know how this format of discussions regarding the Croatian proposal or other proposals will be summarized, we have heard little from the Prime Minister, he has not come to the Parliament to inform the citizens of Kosovo neither for the course of the dialogue nor for the informative topic of what the agreement will be..., the PDK MP emphasizes.

In an interview for KosovaPress, Deliu-Kodra sees the dismissal of the Management Team for drafting the Association's draft statute as an attempt to blame the past governments.

Whether there will soon be an agreement on the Association, according to the PDK deputy, remains to be seen from the commitment of the Kurti government.

Deputy Deliu-Kodra tells KosovaPress that with the Ohrid agreement and the relinquishment of recognition in the center for the normalization of relations with Serbia, there is a setback and degradation in this process.

During this week, international delegations stayed in Kosovo and met with the heads of state. On Thursday, the special representative of the European Union for dialogue, Miroslav Lajçak, was in Kosovo for a visit, while the Administrator of the American Agency for International Development (USAID), Samantha Power, also visited the country, who as an emergency emphasized the need for the creation of the Association, while reiterating the position of the USA that the normalization process should end with mutual recognition.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, presented the draft vision of the Association during the meeting he held with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vuçiq, on May 2 in Brussels.

The draft vision came as a response to a draft statute for the Association of Serb-majority municipalities in Kosovo, which Prime Minister Kurti rejected, saying that it is not in accordance with the Constitution of Kosovo./B.Ibishi/
