The Democratic Party of Kosovo has accused the Kurti government of massive corruption, in relation to the process of calculating the debts of water bottling companies, as well as the manner and basis of debt repayment by the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure.
In the parliamentary debate in the Assembly, MP Ferat Shala said that MMPHI inherited a debt of 52 million euros in the water sector. According to him, this remaining debt over the years has not been handled according to the law and regulations in force. He said that the ministry, through directed cadres, has carried out the project which he called the most corrupt possible with great consequences for the state.
According to him, the ministry has renegotiated, re-calculated and selected the debts of the water bottlers.
After accusing the government of lack of transparency, he posed some questions to the minister of MMPHI, Liburn Aliu.
