Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has traveled to Poland to participate, alongside world leaders, in the commemorative ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi German concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz.

During the ceremony, in memory of the victims of the Holocaust, the touching stories of two survivors from the Auschwitz camp will be shared with participants, recalling one of the darkest chapters in human history.

Auschwitz is a symbol of the Holocaust and the atrocities of World War II. In 2005, the United Nations declared January 27th International Holocaust Remembrance Day to remember the victims and to encourage the world to commit to preventing such horrors from happening again.
