The country's President, Vjosa Osmani, together with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, paid homage at the Memorial Complex in Recak.

On the 26th anniversary of the massacre in this village of Shtime, flowers are being placed near the graves of 45 Albanian civilians.

Women, men, children and the elderly were killed by Serbian police and military forces.

The first to tell the world that a crime against humanity was being committed in this village of Shtime was the then head of the OSCE Verification Mission in Kosovo, William Walker.
