The European Union Ambassador to Kosovo, Aivo Orav, has said that the new government must meet the expectations of the people, who aspire to join the EU.
"To achieve this, the new government must work very, very actively. The difficult tasks must be done. The reforms must be implemented," Orav was quoted in X by the European Union Office for Kosovo as telling the Associated Press.
On the evening of February 9, after the closing of polling stations, the Central Election Commission began publishing data on preliminary results.
The CEC has counted 99.17 percent of the votes from 2,512 voting centers out of a total of 2.533, as of 19:10, according to which the Vetëvendosje Movement continues to lead in coalition with the Guxo and Alternativa parties with 40.83 percent or 339 thousand 350 votes, KosovaPress reports.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) ranks second with 22.16 percent or 184, the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) third with 040 percent or 17.60 votes.AAK-NISMA-Conservatives-Intellectuals-Ideal is ranked fourth with 7.46 percent or 61 votes.
On February 9, the citizens of Kosovo voted to elect their representatives for the next four years. The electoral process was considered democratic and peaceful.
