The execution of salaries for public officials and social schemes was supposed to be done on September 30, but so far this has not been done. Regarding this, there were many reactions from the opposition, who criticized the Kurti Government for bad management and lack of accountability.
Within the public sector, due to the delay, health professionals have also been left without salaries. The Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, was asked about this issue in a statement for KosovaPress, for which he said that he has no idea about such a delay.
According to him, it is unlikely that there will be long delays for salaries, for which he added that he has not been presented with such problems.
The non-execution of salaries was due to the expiration of the mandate of the Acting General Director of the Treasury, where without the latter's signature, no public money can be withdrawn from the state accounts.
For this issue, through a reaction on the social network, former Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti blamed the Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati. According to the deputy of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Minister Murati has behaved negligently towards his legal duties.
Likewise, the deputy from the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Bekim Haxhiu, has called this salary delay scandalous. Haxhiu has called for punishment and collective protests.
The Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers has not yet come out with a clarification regarding this issue, nor has the Department for the Management of Public Officials (DMZP), which operates within the Ministry of Internal Affairs./ Mr. Zeneli/
