The Kosovo Police Union has confirmed that it will join tomorrow's protest announced by the Special Intervention Unit (NJSI) at 12:00 in front of the Kosovo Government building.

The head of the Kosovo Police Union, Imer Zeqiri, has confirmed to KosovaPress that they will participate in the protest together with the NJSI.

He said that during the protest, their demands will be made known.

"Yes, we will be at the protest, where we will also publish our demands", said Zeqiri.

Otherwise, the members of the Special Intervention Unit, the most elite unit of the Kosovo Police, protested in front of the Kosovo Government building on November 1, demanding a change in the categorization of jobs and greater additions to the dangerousness.

Another protest was announced for November 7, 2023, but the police suspended it temporarily, after Prime Minister Kurti promised them an official meeting to discuss their demands and find a solution.

NJSI representatives met with Kurti in mid-November, but did not reach an agreement because the head of the executive refused to withdraw from his position in relation to their demands.

According to the Government's proposal, the allowances for the NJSI are about 150 euros, while in the request the police officers said that it should be set at 50 percent of the basic salary and there should be allowances for specific working conditions.
