The US president's special representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, said he believes Donald Trump will end the Russia-Ukraine war and that peace is possible "within months."

He told Fox News that he believes a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine is possible within a hundred days.

"I have great confidence in President Trump. He is pragmatic. He will get this done," Kellogg said, adding that Trump will lead efforts on this issue and put pressure on both sides.

He noted that the US has so far provided over $174 billion in aid to Ukraine and sanctions have been imposed on Russia.

Kellogg has also expressed concern over the numbers of casualties and injuries in the war, which have exceeded one million.

"These are horrific numbers. These are World War II numbers," Kellogg said.
