A serious traffic accident occurred today on the A1 highway between Karlovac and Zagreb.

As reported by the Karlovac police, the accident occurred at kilometer 26 of the highway in the direction of Karlovac.

One person has died in an accident. A car caught fire and the deceased, as unofficially reported, was inside it.

A police investigation is underway, after which more information will be known, Croatian media report.

Due to a traffic accident, traffic on the A1 highway between the Jastrebarsko and Karlovci junctions in the direction of the sea has been interrupted, while traffic in the direction of Zagreb is difficult.
