One person was killed and dozens injured when a truck plowed into people at a bus station near Tel Aviv in what police suspect is an act of terrorism.

The truck crashed into a bus stop near the military base at 10 a.m. local time, police said.

The driver with Israeli citizenship was "neutralized" by an armed civilian, the police added.

40 people were injured, some seriously. The police said that the investigations are continuing with the emphasis "on the suspicion that it is a terrorist attack".

Israeli media reports that the attacker is an Israeli Arab from Qalansawe, a city in central Israel.
