English football team West Ham announced today that Niclas Fullkrug suffered a muscle injury.

"West Ham United can confirm that striker Niclas Fullkrug has suffered a hamstring injury in Friday's FA Cup third round match against Aston Villa," West Ham said in a statement.

The club added that the German striker will be out for several weeks. Niclas Fullkrug, 31, has previously played for clubs such as Werder Bremen, Nurnberg, Hannover and Borussia Dortmund.

The striker has an impressive international record, scoring 14 goals in 22 appearances for Germany.
