On the eve of marking the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Kosovo Police, a number of different activities have been organized, including the football sports competitions which are being held today in Obiliq.

The General Director of the Kosovo Police, Gazmend Hoxha, representatives from the municipal authorities and the management of the KP are participating in this organization.

The Director of the Special Units Division, Amir Gërguri, at the same time chairman of the Organizational Council for sports activities in honor of this anniversary, said that with this organization, the Kosovo Police shows another side of the coin, apart from their commitment and duties in the field.

He said that their participation in these activities shows a special side of them, for which he says that even the policemen as citizens of Kosovo can show themselves in these sports.

Gërguri emphasized that they are in the process of joining clubs in chess, judo, volleyball and other sports.

In addition, he underlined the fact that they managed to create the sports association of the Kosovo Police.

On September 6, 1999, the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, in accordance with United Nations Resolution 1244, opened the Police School and began training candidates for members of the Kosovo Police.

The first generation of candidates for members of this Service began training at this center on September 6, 1999.
