The candidate for deputy from the ranks of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Naim Ismajli, promises economic development, support for education and health, as well as capital investments to improve infrastructure. With over 20 years of commitment to serving citizens, Ismajli believes that it is time to use this experience to bring tangible changes and concrete solutions to the challenges facing the citizens of Kosovo.
Ismajli, in an interview for KosovaPress, says that with PDK in power, all the problems and challenges of citizens will be addressed. He vows that as a professional in the field of economics, he will contribute to the drafting of more sustainable policies for the country.
The former mayor of Shtime emphasizes that one of the main goals of the PDK is to increase salaries for workers and provide better conditions for pensioners. He also mentions assistance for each child who enrolls in a private kindergarten, offering a support of 100 euros.
"PDK, led by the candidate for prime minister, Bedri Hamza, has drafted a program that was drafted by experts, but has taken into account the comments during the public discussion that it has made throughout Kosovo. We have a program in the party that is embodied with the interests, demands, challenges that citizens have identified and the work of experts beyond the PDK, which has addressed the solutions to these problems. The main areas are, the area of economic development, it is the center, because we know that Kosovo today suffers for better economic development, and other areas then depend on this development as to how they can be developed. The well-being of citizens, better salaries for workers, then a dignified life for pensioners, developed education that responds to market demands, healthcare that has its citizen in focus... We have planned to stimulate all families for each child in a private kindergarten with 100 euros", declares Ismajli.
He underlines that with his many years of experience, he will contribute to solving the challenges facing the country."There are two reasons why people should vote for me and my party. Personally, because I have my past and experience in public and political life, with which I have built a competence that I believe I can address each problem with ideas for its solution. While PDK has a better program, it has the most suitable candidate for prime minister, and the PDK list has people who have their own professional and national values and, above all, are decision-makers. PDK is known as a party of big decisions, of big projects," he says.
Another priority of Ismajli is improving the infrastructure in the Ferizaj region and the Municipality of Shtime. He promises the completion of the Ferizaj Regional Hospital and the implementation of important projects such as the construction of a highway connecting Duhlen with Shtime and Lipjan, as well as the revitalization of the railways, achieving high speed for the transport of goods and people.
"My engagement as a deputy in the Assembly of Kosovo will also have another special focus for the citizens of the Municipality of Shtime, because they have nominated me, and the Ferizaj region. Some of the capital projects are those that will change the physiognomy of the municipality of Shtime and the Ferizaj region. First, the Ferizaj Regional Hospital must be completed, which has been stopped by the current Government intentionally as a punishment for the municipal government that is not the same political entity. Another important project is the highway project, the axis that connects Duhla with the municipality of Shtime and Lipjan. So, it connects the two highways, the Ibrahim Rugova highway and the Arbën Xhaferi highway and ends at Dheu i Bardhë. Then, the revitalization of the railways, which is a project in Bedri Hamza's program that aims for the railways to develop a speed of at least up to 120 kilometers per hour. The speed that will be in function of the better circulation of goods and people... Lepenci will also happen during our governing mandate", Ismajli underlines.
Ismajli has also criticized the current government for stagnation in economic development as well as for failures in foreign policy.
"The setbacks of this government have been in economic development, which has occurred with devaluation and maximum inflation during Kurti's time. Other failures have occurred in the field of foreign policy. The same friends who helped us liberate ourselves and dropped bombs on Serbia, the same friends who, after 25 years in this government, have imposed sanctions on us. And the very negative relations with our mother country - Albania, the breakdown of relations with Albanian politics in Macedonia, the Presevo Valley, the unsafe life of citizens. Compared to the great deception that has been done to the people and the reality that has occurred from their promises, we cannot do anything about the real things that have been accomplished. A government that has made promises and has not fulfilled them, a government that is entering the campaign without a program," he says.Naim Ismajli holds number 48 on the PDK list for the February 9 elections.
