Despite the fact that the Vetëvendosje Movement could win the parliamentary elections on February 9, the most realistic possibility is for the opposition to form the government, says political scientist Artan Muhaxhiri. According to him, the current ruling party will be unable to repeat the 2021 result and again receive 50 percent of the vote, and consequently the three parties, PDK, LDK, AAK, together with the non-majority communities, will form the government.

Muhaxhiri tells KosovaPress that it is very difficult for the Vetëvendosje Movement, as the first party in the elections, to find allies and form a government. However, he adds that even if PDK, LDK, and AAK form a government, they will have many problems, as it would be difficult to harmonize positions.

He sees it possible that after the February 9 elections, the case of 2014 with VLAN will be repeated, when the parties that did not win the elections were positioned against the PDK, which had come out on top..

Commenting on the election campaign, political scientist Muhaxhiri says that it passed without significant incidents, but according to him, the opposition has not been very creative in creating concrete plans and projects to present a substantial offer to Kosovar voters..

In addition, Muhaxhiri for KosovaPress also speaks about the replies between Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the American envoy for special missions, Richard Grenell.

According to him, this battle between Kurti and Grenell could be catastrophic for Kosovo.

Grenell has responded to Kurti twice this week, who said that relations between Kosovo and the US have never been better.

According to Grenell, relations between the two countries are at their lowest level, adding that the international community has united against Kurti.

Parliamentary elections in Kosovo will be held on February 9.
