On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the KLA Martyrs' Day in Mitrovica, municipal leaders, family members of the martyrs, veterans and invalids of the Kosovo Liberation Army War, as well as many citizens paid tribute today at the Martyrs' Cemetery in Shipol .

To honor the glorious fight of the KLA, all those who fought, in particular to honor the sacrifice of the martyrs and their families, the mayor Bedri Hamza, together with the vice president Arian Tahiri, directors of the municipal directorates, have placed bouquets of fresh flowers at the martyrs' cemetery in Shipol.

Participants in these tributes were also representatives of other local institutions, family members of the martyrs, representatives of organizations that came out of the KLA war and many citizens.

President Hamza said that the freedom we enjoy today is a gift that the martyrs paid with the most expensive price - their own lives.

"Mitrovica has given a lot to Kosovo, at every stage of its existence. But the bravery and sacrifice of the martyrs in the last war, is the most painful track of our country, in the long road of efforts, to realize the right to live freely. The martyrs of Mitrovica, martyrs and civilians are the cornerstone of our existence, they are the guarantee given with the most expensive duty - sacrifice, so that today we can live free and independent, work and develop. Today and every day we humble ourselves before the heroic deed of the martyrs of Mitrovica," said Hamza.

This anniversary was organized by the Municipality of Mitrovica, namely under the care of the Mayor of the Municipality.
