Over 3 thousand members of the Kosovo Police (KP) have undergone systematic medical checks. Meanwhile, more than 2 medical and psychological checks were performed for the new recruits of the Kosovo Police. These services were performed within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement between KP and the University Clinical Hospital Service of Kosovo (SHSKUK) for medical and psychological services for police personnel and recruits.

In a joint press conference between the Kosovo Police and the University Hospital Service of Kosovo, it was emphasized that the provision of specialist medical services within the framework of this agreement has influenced the preservation of health well-being for all KP employees.

The director of the University Clinical Center of Kosovo, Osman Hajdari, said that they are ready to offer these services in the following years as well as to increase the level of services.

Meanwhile, the director of the Department of Health Services in the Kosovo Police, Lendita Kajtazi, estimated that this agreement between KP and SHKUK was successful.

Kajatazi emphasized that in addition to the systematic medical check-up, periodical medical tests were also carried out for all members of the Specialized Units of the Kosovo Police.

Among other things, she showed the number of members who received these services.

Meanwhile, in the context of questions from journalists, the director of KKUK, Osman Hajdari, said that all categories of the security system are prioritized, adding that in this case waiting lists are also ignored.

The cooperation agreement between KP and SHSKUK for medical and psychological services of police personnel and recruits was signed in November 2023.
