Today the marathon was held "Prishtina 2024" in which over 1200 runners from the country, region and the world took part in the race.

The race was held at a distance of 42 kilometers and 195 meters, in which Luiza Gega won the women's competition, while Laban Cheruiyot from Kenya won the men's competition.

Runner Luiza Gega told KosovaPress after the race that she feels excited and was motivated to come out the winner in the end.

Meanwhile, the winner in the men's competition, Laban Cheruiyot, said that the competition was fair and had good weather conditions.

The President of the Athletics Federation of Kosovo, Halil Sylejmani, spoke about the organization of the marathon and the prizes awarded to the winners. He said that the rewards distributed this year are higher.
