The Vetëvendosje Movement is considered the winner of the February 9 parliamentary elections, but with weakened power in relation to the previous elections and their claims of 500 votes.

Political experts, despite the victory of the LVV, do not deny the possibility that PDK, LDK and AAK, together with non-majority communities, could form the next government. However, they emphasize that both Albin Kurti's party and other parties, if they do not form grand coalitions, will have a government with a minimal and fragile parliamentary majority.

Based on preliminary data and the CEC's counting of 96.88 percent of the votes, the Vetëvendosje Movement won the February 9 elections with 41.10 percent of the votes, followed by PDK with 22.25 percent, LDK with 17.77, AAK 7.46 percent and Serbian List 4.01 percent.

University professor, Mazllum Baraliu, tells KosovaPress that the results of the elections so far, without the votes of the diaspora and if there is no coalition between LVV and any of the opposition parties, there will be no stable government.

On the other hand, political analyst Seb Bytyçi tells KosovaPress that if the number of LVV MPs remains in the forties, then it will be difficult to form a government without a coalition, which according to him could be with the AAK-NISMA coalition.

Otherwise, he declares that there could be a government formed by opposition parties since they have sufficient numbers in the Assembly.

In addition, he also comments for KosovaPress on the loss of votes by LVV compared to the 2021 elections and the increase in votes by opposition parties, especially PDK.

Based on past statements, the Vetëvendosje Movement has ruled out any possibility of coalitions with PDK, LDK, AAK and the Serbian List.

Likewise, PDK, LDK and AAK have expressed categorically against the coalition with VV, while PDK and AAK have expressed openness to cooperating to form the next government. Meanwhile, LDK has said that this party decides to enter the government only with Lumir. Abdixhiku Prime Minister.
