Prime Minister Albin Kurti has commented on the statement of Special Envoy for Missions Richard Grenell, who a few days ago said that Kurti's rhetoric that he is close to the US is false.
In an interview for Istog Channel, Kurti was asked about Grenell's latest statement and responded by saying "What's wrong with me?"
"What can I do? You know very well that my whole life I have been an activist, not an analyst. We have these studios that study what he said and why he looked at him that way," he declared.
Grenell on Kurti: He is not trustworthy, don't be fooled • KosovaPress
Kurti said that Kosovo has never had better relations with the US."We have never had better jobs. We are buying Black Hawk helicopters after purchasing the Javelin system. Kosovo has received the largest grant ever from America during our mandate. We have made progress with America when our relationship with America is not only diplomatic but also in defense, development and energy," Kurti said.
He said that sometimes there may be criticism and remarks, but we must still move forward.
Recall, Grenell said that "the Kurti government was not credible during Trump's first term, nor during Biden's term."
Grenell continues criticism: Kurti brought Kosovo-US relations to a low point • KosovaPress“Both Republicans and Democrats have consistently criticized Kurti for taking unilateral actions that destabilize the region. So have the EU and NATO. The international community is united against Kurti. American companies are expanding in Albania and Serbia, but they are not expanding in Kosovo because of Kurti. Kurti has also been against every US idea offered by Presidents Clinton, Bush, Obama, Biden and Trump. The rhetoric used by Kurti now, claiming that he is close to the US and better than all other Kosovo governments, is absolutely false. Do not be fooled,” Grenell wrote in X.
