Ismet Krasniqi has been re-elected as President of the Kosovo Olympic Committee for the next four years.
At the Electoral Assembly of the Kosovo Olympic Committee, Krasniqi was the only candidate for the position of president and he was voted in by acclamation by the 89 delegates present at this assembly.
In his speech immediately after his election, Krasniqi said that in the next four years the main priority will be to focus on the development of new generations but also to achieve even greater results in the international arena and to increase the budget of the Kosovo Olympic Committee.

"Our shared objective remains clear, to elevate Kosovo on the international sports scene by ensuring that our athletes have every opportunity to excel and prove that value, passion and talent know no boundaries. Together we will advocate for greater representation of Kosovo in international sports organizations...One of our greatest commitments will be the preparation for the Mediterranean Games."Prishtina "2030', this is our historic moment to prove to the world that Kosovo is not only a participant but also a dignified organizer of major multi-sport events. We will work to improve infrastructure, mobilize the community and create a unique atmosphere that will inspire new generations," Krasniqi declared.

Previously, this Electoral Assembly also approved the annual work report of the IOC for 2024, the financial report, and the action plan of the Olympic Committee, as well as the financial plan for 2025.
Meanwhile, Besim Hasani was elected honorary president of the Kosovo Olympic Committee.
