The literary work of the writer Ismail Kadare has played an emancipatory role for Kosovo and Kosovars.

This is what the president of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Kosovo, Mehmet Kraja, said at the commemorative meeting for the writer Ismail Kadare.

Kraja said that Kadare has done more than the institutions.

"Kadare's voice in support of Kosovo has been an inspiration for many generations of intellectuals, for a wide range of people in Kosovo. At this point, Kadare has done more than all the institutions. His voice, regardless of whether it came in public discourse, has been an inspiring voice. He has spoken clearly to the international community. Kadare's concerns have had a great impact on Kosovar opinion. Kadare's literary work has played an emancipatory role for Kosovars," said Kraja.t

At the commemorative academy organized by AShAK, academician Sabri Hamiti said that with the translation of Ismail Kadare's works, he has gained the status of a great writer.
